With his amazing DJ set on Awakenings still fresh in the back of the heads of the attending techno aficionados, The Baron of Techno Dave Clarke will experience his debut on one of the most prominent Dance festivals globally; Tomorrowland. On Sunday the 29th of July in Boom (Belgium), this Brighton born and bred techno pioneer will host the second biggest stage of a total of fifteen stages, simply yet effectively named ‘Dave Clarke Presents’. The line-up of artists, handpicked by Dave Clarke personally, is as expected of the highest quality and presents a versatile selection of performing artist within the techno genre and its sub genres.   The Tomorrowland festival, undergoing its eighth (sold out) edition this year, has evolved itself into an event of world class. Around 180,000 visitors divided over three days will be submitted to all that is electronic dance music in just about any shape or form.

In 2011, Tomorrowland was labelled Best Dance Music Festival in Europe and during this year’s Winter Music Conference in Miami, the festival even collected the award for Best Dance Music Festival Worldwide. The growth and expansion of Tomorrowland as an event is in sync with the quality and statuses of the performing artists, which became increasingly stronger and more diverse.

Dave Clarke, nowadays residing and working in Amsterdam, has been at the top of his game for little under 25 years. After taking a short break from churning out a constant stream of high class productions, Clarke has reinvented his passion for the art of producing. With Dutch producer Mr. Jones, Clarke created a production duo under the Unsubscribe guise and has delivered Unsubscribe remixes for the likes of  Detroit Grand Pubahs, Ben Sims, Boys Noize, Erol Alkan and Phil Kieran amongst others, lined up for release in the very near future. Clarke is looking forward to his collaboration with Tomorrowland: "I am extremely happy that I will be hosting my own stage at one of Belgium’s finest Dance festivals. It has taken quite a few years to cross paths but the deal was happily done last year at Amsterdam Dance Event.”, according to Clarke.

With Dave Clarke in firm control of the entire programming for his Dave Clarke Presents area, the Tomorrowland visitor may expect a well-balanced list of international peers to perform alongside the British area host. World acclaimed artists such as the German grandmaster Chris Liebing, Chicago based legend Green Velvet, the founding father of Detroit techno Derrick May, the eccentric Miss Kittin from Paris and the Italian Don of Techno Joseph Capriati will collectively add another exciting chapter to techno history. Dave Clarke explains his choice of artists: “The artists that I chose to play symbolise the pinnacle of their respective sub genres and I believe that it is a world class line-up suitable of a festival that sells out in minutes.”

The true techno fan may look forward to a memorable event held on the 27th, 28th and 29th of July 2012 in Boom, Belgium.
