Review: Dannic vs. Merk & Kremont - Anubi

With the summer just ahead of them and a 100-strong discography at their mercy, Revealed Recordings calls upon label staple DANNIC hooks up with Italian peers Merk & Kermont to establish an early secret weapon for dance music’s busiest time of year. Having already turned heads during DANNIC & Dyro’s own night at Wall Miami and proven a set staple to the young Dutchman throughout the year, “Anubi” emerges with divine reverberations for the big room headspace. As the follow-up to “Dear Life” and a debut stint for the Italian duo, this trio of European talents unites to tip their heads to the infamous Egyptian god with a powerful slice of peak time artillery for the festival circuit. Between those signature funky drops, full-bodied leads and well-oiled beats, the trio of talents unites the best of their respective sounds to form an immediate secret weapon for the sunnier remits of 2014 from three increasingly promising talents.

Dimitri Kechagias review:  Revealed recordings never fail to impress its huge following all over the world. The number one EDM label in the world headed by the number one DJ phenomenon; Hardwell presents the awesome 'Anubi' produced by Dannic and Merk & Kremont who have perfectly executed one of the huge future favourites for the summer. Anubi is a powerful electro meets progressive house stomper that will blow your mind, and it has all the potential to raise the tension on the dancefloor to the maximum. The meaty chunky groove is perfectly combined with electrified wonky basslines, acid overtones and distorted vocal samples. The breakdown is full-on euphoria with massive hands in the air synths that can easily blow your senses with very strong main synthy lead that is slightly distorted and playful. Short uplifting sequence comes next to jump and smile. What follows is hard to describe with words, and you have to experience it on the dancefloor to feel its impact. Manic breathtaking build up lead us on the rough and raw roof raising drop with electro style basslines that actually echo Daft Punk / French Disco House influences. Anubi is not your average copycat EDM anthem. It has a unique flavour, funk and bounce to the maximum that is really refreshing and sounds super sexy! It's an anthem in the making so better adopt it early and be the leader not the follower! Love iT
