Best of 2013 Interview: Jeremy Rowlett

Best of 2013 Interview: Jeremy Rowlett. Born 1987 in Monticello, Arkansas and raised in Wilmar; a small town of roughly 1000 residents just 8 miles west of Monticello. Growing up in this southern setting was at times depressing. There wasn’t much for children in the community. But through the love and compassion of his christian family his life was always full of joy and life long lessons of hard work and moral standing.

Music was always something Jeremy had been fascinated about but didn’t understand for a couple of years he let go of the desire to know. Then an opportunity was given presented to him as he entered the 5th grade. A chance to be apart of his school’s concert band. Realizing the quality in this opportunity and having always wanted to learn to play music, he presented the offer to his parents and soon joined.

Best of 2013 Interview: Bruce Cullen

Name: Bruce Cullen
Location: Denver, Colorado, USA

Dimitri: Can you tell your achievements in your music career in 2013 as DJ & producer?

Bruce Cullen: I released one of my very first tracks called ‘Princess Bay’, Black Hole Recordings, In Trance We Trust really enjoyed it and signed it. ‘Princess Bay’ just missed the print date for being included on ‘In Search Of Sunrise’. So although I just missed getting onto this release it is a huge accomplishment for me as it’s one of the bestselling Trance compilation CD’s ever sold. I was very excited about that. Another track in 2013 ‘Red Rum’ was also considered for the In Search Of Sunrise compilation CD with Black Hole Recordings, In Trance We Trust. Also in this same first year of my career my release ‘1492’ signed with Black Hole Recordings made it to 14th position on the dance charts. I feel this is a great start.

Best of 2013 Interview: DJ, Producer & label co-owner of Saturate Audio; Styller

Best of 2013 Interview: DJ, Producer & label co-owner of  Saturate Audio; Styller. The nickname Styller is an alias for Branislav Klinko – a producer, born in December 1983 in the heart of Europe – Slovakia.

He‘s hit the scene with a remix of "Naiad“ for a Slovakian project Domased Electronica, which came out on the 2nd of June 2008 on Hungarian label Tilth Music. Remix got huge success within the progressive community. In 2009 he released more remixes on labels such as Silk, Morphosis or Ocean Drive, which confirmed Styller to be an universal and quality remixer. His rework of Domased Electronicas "Dewpoint“ was his first trance track that has made it to Beatport‘s Trance Top 100. Encouraged by its success he‘s finally decided to head towards his own trance productions.

In 2010 he started to collaborate with Michael & Levan and Stiven Rivic, with whom he‘s been friends already. Soon after their agreement Styller’s first official EP – "What Happen Once“ was released, followed by more remixes. Massive male vocals in "We Will Fade“ by Michael Burns a.k.a Blue Haze made it the one, he‘s the most proud of. In 2011 Styller released his second EP – "Escape Velocity“ – containing vocals of his friend Suzanne Isis. Often played by many of the big names of the scene earned for Styller the status of "another huge talent coming out of Eastern Europe“.

Best of 2013 Interview: Hugo de Graaf, A&R Manager Wildife / Rub A Duck for Black Hole Recordings. In the early years of the new millennium 2000 he began as the graphic designer for Black Hole Recordings including all its sub labels, creating practically every known vinyl-, CD- and CD single cover that’s currently in the Black Hole Recordings catalogue.
