Set to host some of the world’s most exciting electronic music artists and influencers, Brighton Music Conference will launch a brand new pop-up club in the heart of Brighton for two nights only beneath the city's largest library.
Having announced over 150 speakers from industry luminaries including Spotify, DJ Magazine, Beatport, Tokyo Industries, Resident Advisor, Novation and Gatecrasher to name just a few, the Brighton Music Conference has already been quoted as being the ‘UK’s answer to the Miami Winter Music Conference’, but now, the show has surpassed all expectations by launching its own pop up club!
Expanding from beyond the confines of the conference’s home at the Brighton Dome, the club is situated in the heart of the city in a never-before-used underground space that’ll be transformed by audio and lighting specialists to serve as a unique event spot for industry guests, international DJs and most importantly, all night dancing.
It’s located in the basement of boutique gallery, Cloak, at 1A Jubilee Square. The space is ironically, underneath the city’s largest library and will be an exciting new addition to Brighton’s already buzzing club scene.
Brighton Music Conference Director, Billy Mauseth explains;
“We couldn’t be more excited, the opportunity arose for us to use this fantastic space to create a pop club that we’ve always dreamed of, and it is the perfect hub for the conference and really ties it all together with our roots in underground music.”
“This is only the first year of BMC and we’re still learning what we can achieve, but in the future we hope to use loads more spots, from roof parties, to car parks across Brighton, and we’d like to turn this city into a beacon for the scene and truly showcase why this country is still leading the world in electronic music”
The fun kicks off at Cloak on Friday night with Seamus Haji, Andy Mac, Mick Fuller and Peter Hayward, while Saturday sees Mobilee Records, one of Berlin’s most respected electronic music labels showcase some of their finest DJs with Sebo K, And.iD, Ralf Kollmann in the mix, supported by Brighton’s own Neal Schtumm.
Other acts performing at BMC events around the city include Skream, Dave Clarke, Dave Seaman, John 00 Fleming, Lisa Lashes, Anne Savage, Darius Syrossian, Jimpster, Jeff Daniels, Terry Francis, DJ Pierre, Steve Bicknell, and Steve Mac.
