In just four years, Revealed Recordings have epitomized the energy and enthusiasm of a generation driven to both dance floors and festival grounds alike. Having locked down an A-game approach to the big room festival sound and its progressive offshoot, the label gathers the finest of its next generation crop to celebrate a season packed to the brim with unforgettable music sure to keep the masses moving throughout.
Jacob van Hage & Halfway House kick things into gear with ‘Panic,’ crafting a sinister big room anthem with relentless leads and maximal energy between the Dutch/American outfit. While Tom Ferro’s melodic tendencies fuel the experimentally charged ‘Steel Drum,’ bouncy original ‘Brakeless’ from Angemi & Prezioso matches Australian and Dutch influences for a heavy-footed finale to Revealed’s second festival instalment of 2014. It’s just the diversity in style and festival proof substance we’ve come to expect for Revealed of late, setting the precedent for their brand of big room mastery at an all time high for the summer ahead.
Dimitri Kechagias review: Revealed recording is the top imprint that never stops impressing with fantastic anthems carefully selected by the number one DJ in the world, Hardwell. The latest Revealed Festival EP includes three tailor-made anthems for big festivals tried and tested by Hardwell on the road. First of all the upcoming Jacob van Hage and the unstoppable USA duo Halfway House unite their forces for the full-on anthem 'Panic'. Straight to the point smasher with electrified aggressive basslines, pumping bouncy techy kicks, and a very strong melodic theme that will stay in your mind for ever. Epic anthemic hands in the air synths in the breakdown followed by a rough and sleazy drop that is twisted and freaked out to keep the big crowds pumping and shaking their bodies! Tom Ferro from Rotterdam presents his smasher 'Steel Drum'. It moves within the same realm of festival house with stand-out elements and the very clever synthy riff in the breakdown that has orient influences without doubt, and sound very playful and original. His drop is really hard and infectious with tough drums, punchy basslines, and various percussive melodies at the top along with swirling synths to build the tension and enjoyment. On the second main breakdown he melts that melody with uplifting euphoric synths followed by his super solid and tight drop. Last but not least, the newly formed Italian duo Angemi & Prezioso deliver the fantastic 'Brakeless' which includes one of the most clever vocal samples that will go down like a firestorm. The drop is exceptional, with wonky playful basslines and distorted vocal samples. On the breakdown this infectious twisted and squeezed melody appears along with euphoric hands in the air synths that lead us on to the short uplifting section just before the manic beat drops and drives the crowd totally berserk. Top new names that you should keep an eye on. #PureGold Love IT
