Tomorrowland, the world’s leading music festival, has announced the expansion of the brand into South America with the first-ever Tomorrowland Brasil to be held May 1-3, 2015 in Itu, Brazil, a municipality of Sao Paolo.
Announced sunday evening by DJ David Guetta during his performance on the first of two weekends of Tomorrowland in Belgium, Tomorrowland is the world’s leading music event, with this year’s tenth anniversary festival selling 360,000 tickets. Over 1.4 million fans of Tomorrowland on social media call Brazil home. The announcement of Tomorrowland Brasil was made last night during a two-way live video broadcast between the main stage at Tomorrowland in Belgium and a live audience of 10,000 in Sao Paolo. Tickets to the live event in Sao Paolo sold out in less than one hour.
Tomorrowland Brasil is the second global expansion of the Tomorrowland brand. TomorrowWorld, the first-ever North American version of the event, debuted in September 2013, and saw more than 120,000 visitors from 75 different countries descend upon Chattahoochee Hills outside Atlanta, GA. The second edition of TomorrowWorld, America’s largest 21-and-over electronic music festival, will be held September 26-28, 2014, and features an extensive lineup of the world’s top electronic music acts, brand-new stages, gourmet food and beverage, and all-new premium VIP experiences.
Pre-registration for Tomorrowland Brasil is required for all those who wish to purchase tickets. Pre-registration runs from today until September 5th, 2014 and sales begin on September 6th, 2014 at www.tomorrowlandbrasil.com.
