Nature One 2014, The Golden Twenty was a phenomenal success in Germany. It was a sold-out festival with 72,000 visitors from all over the world who came to enjoy the great natural surroundings of the Raketenbasis Pydna near Kastellaun. Most importantly to party hard all day and night with the finest DJs such as Paul van Dyk, Axwell, Sven Vath, Carl Cox, ATB and many more playing the latest club smashers and worldwide exclusives for the ears and joy of Nature One visitors. The Open Air Floor, Century Circus, House of House, and The Golden Twenty were the main floors which spread and vibrated positive peaceful vibes of electronic dance music, with stunning high-tech decor and jaw-dropping light and lazer effects.
If you felt those main floors were not your cup of tea there were nineteen various clubs spread all over Pydna for you to choose from. One of the busiest floors was 'Heavens Gate' with many trance fans coming to enjoy quality DJ sets from the like of Fisherman & Hawkins, James Dymond, Ben Nicky, Chris Bekker and the incredible Maarten de Jong, who delivered his solid tech trance and big room sounds without mercy, elevating the crowd to a higher dimension.

I sought an interview with Maarten de Jong who kindly accepted and we managed to film the interview for your viewing pleasure. Firstly, he talked about his DJ performance at Nature One and how he much enjoy it by delivering what the crowd wanted. Next I ask him if this years performance was different from the previous year at Nature One, again at the Heavens Gate arena. Then he offered his congratulations to i-motion for twenty years of Nature One festivals. We discussed his previous track Red & White on VANDIT and he gave us a hint about his forthcoming single. Furthermore, he tells us his opinion about the direction that trance music is heading at the moment, and the kind of trance substyle will be prominent in the future. We discuss his current and future DJ gigs including Street Parade in Zurich, and We Are One Festival in Berlin (with Paul van Dyk and VANDIT records crew). I asked him if it is very important as an artist to be part of a well-recognised label such as VANDIT Records, and he confesses that it took him longer to reach his goal because he followed his heart and what he wanted to achieve. He reveals his forthcoming collaboration with Faruk Sabanci, and his remix for Paul van Dyk will be coming soon. Maarten is a full-time DJ & Producer and I asked him if he is 100% self taught, or if he attended a musical engineering course. Lastly he gave us his very warm and personal message to the viewers of this very entertaining interview. Must watch without doubt.
