Review: Dyro - Sounds Like. Hot off the heels of a whirlwind North American bus tour, Dyro returns to his home-from-home of Revealed Recordings with another well-oiled original for the fast approaching summer stretch. As premiered by Hardwell during his Ultra closing set in Miami, the highest new entry in the DJ Mag Top 100 poll asserts his standing with another original track poised at turning heads across the globe. At a time when the trolls can make or break any given record, “Sounds Like” plays into that signature spiral in sound that the Dutch breakout has commandeered throughout his career to date. A cool electro cut flaunting an original take on the label’s practised output, Dyro strikes back with an essential antidote to the everyday big room anthem that is sure to stay on the radar for all the right reasons throughout the summer.
Dimitri Kechagias review: When the number one DJ in the world; Hardwell, supports an artist wholehearted you can be sure that he puts his trust in someone that 100% deserves it. Dyro is definitely one of this new breed of artists that brings some fresh air to the scene with their superb productions. His track 'Sounds Like' is one of those huge party smashers that will be played very often at summer festivals. It's powerful in your face electro house meets festival house at its very best. If you like rioting freaked out tracks that can make masses jump around and sing out loud, then don't look any further than the brand new brainchild of Dyro. It references artists like Daft Punk or Skrillex in his own creative direction of course. It starts as usual with a cool intro that nicely leads us into the first heavy rocking earth moving full-on drop with vert cool MC style vocal samples. The breakdown is very French disco house, followed by very a heavy sequence that cuts deep like a razor with its rough, raw and bodybanging bassline. Sounds Like its ready to rock and its a sure firestorming smash! Love it
