The first festival day of TomorrowWorld has almost finished and it was full of epic moments and brilliant music. Almost 50.000 discovered the madness and were witnesses of the Arising of Life. It has been while since an active volcano erupted on US soil – not yet counting Yellowstone of course.
But here it is. The most beautiful, dangerous-looking and beloved fire-spitting mountain we ever saw. Long have the hills of Chattahoochee been full of tremors, signs of something big coming this way. And as we all descend on the magnificent terrain, smoke in the distance reveals what we all hoped for; the TomorrowWorld volcano arising to spew its life-giving fire over thousands of ravers raging away.
Today Laidback Luke brought his Super You & Me crew along for a day full of heroism. The Belgian DJ Coone represented the famous Q Dance stage. People of Tomorrow could get rowdy at the It’s a Trap stage with Kennedy Jones and Green Lantern. On the Volcano mainstage beats from Cazzette, NERVO and Tiesto.

History of TomorrowWorld:
Was it fate that would have the world’s most international music event shipped overseas only to land on a farm in Georgia? The stars appeared to have aligned thanks to the state’s rich topography and a timely joint venture. It was a prolonged dream for Tomorrowland organizers to bring the festival to America. And last year, the opportunity came. As world-renowned DJ Armin van Buuren says in the 2014 MTV documentary on the festival’s 10th anniversary: “In many ways, Tomorrowland is the capital of dance music in Europe.”
While 180,000 were able to secure their tickets for the 3-day event, two million were turned away. It was time to expand. The founders of Tomorrowland scouted 100 sites all over the world before choosing Bouckaert’s Farm in Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia, just 25 miles southwest of Atlanta. The accessible yet secluded farm with its gently rolling hills, lush greenery and sparkling lakes became the site for the inaugural edition of TomorrowWorld because it happened to bear a strong resemblance to the expansive park in Boom, Belgium that has been hosting Tomorrowland since its inception in 2005.
The news that instantly put Fairburn on the festival world map came during a glitzy reception at the 2013 Miami Music Week, during which it was officially announced that the first U.S. edition of TomorrowWorld would take place September 27-29, 2013.
